SWVA Connections Co. is designed for: local businesses and entrepreneurs, community organizations and nonprofits, event hosts and experience creators, customers who want to support local, and leaders who believe community comes before competition. Whether you're here to grow a business or discover what's happening locally, there's a place for you.

Question 3

Is SWVA Connections Co. limited to one city?

Accepted Answer

What is The Hub?

Accepted Answer

The Hub is the digital ecosystem that supports the SWVA Connections Co. network. It allows users to explore verified local businesses, discover events and experiences, view deals, promotions, and announcements, and stay connected to what's happening across the region. Businesses use The Hub to manage their presence and visibility. Customers use it to explore and support local.

Question 5

What does 'Verified Business' mean?

Accepted Answer

A verified business is an active member of the SWVA Connections Co. network. Verification helps build trust with customers, highlight businesses invested in the local community, and ensure listings and promotions are intentional and accurate. Only verified businesses can post promotions, announcements, and events within the network.

Question 6

Do you replace chambers, BNI, or networking groups?

Accepted Answer

No — and we don't try to. SWVA Connections Co. is complementary, not competitive. We focus on ongoing visibility (not just meetings), digital and real-world connection, storytelling, promotion, and discovery, and community-first collaboration. Many members participate in multiple organizations.

Question 7

Is membership a long-term commitment?

Accepted Answer

Membership terms are clearly outlined by tier and are designed to encourage meaningful participation, support network consistency, and create momentum over time. Connection works best when it's intentional and ongoing, not transactional.

Question 8

What kind of return can members expect?

Accepted Answer

While results vary, members commonly experience increased local awareness, consistent community visibility, direct opportunities to promote events, offers, and announcements, and stronger relationships with other local leaders. The return is both tangible and relational.

Question 9

How is SWVA Connections Co. membership priced?

Accepted Answer

Our membership pricing is intentionally structured around value, access, and sustainability — not exclusivity. Each membership tier reflects the market value of tools, visibility, promotions, and exposure provided through our network, the investment required to operate and maintain the SWVA Connections Co. network, and the real-world return businesses gain through consistent visibility and engagement. We believe in transparent pricing so businesses understand exactly what they're investing in.

Question 10

What's the difference between market value and investment value?

Accepted Answer

Market value represents what similar services would typically cost if purchased individually — such as advertising, event promotion, network listings, and digital exposure. Investment value is what members actually pay to participate. The difference exists because our goal is to support small and local businesses, lower barriers to participation, and build long-term community impact rather than short-term profit.

Question 11

Why is affordability important to SWVA Connections Co.?

Accepted Answer

Southwest Virginia is powered by small businesses, nonprofits, startups, and family-owned organizations. We believe community thrives when good businesses aren't priced out of visibility or connection. Affordability allows us to encourage diverse participation, foster collaboration across industries, and strengthen the regional economy. Affordability isn't a discount — it's a value decision.

Question 12

Why do you offer payment plans?

Accepted Answer

We offer installment options because we understand how real businesses operate. Payment plans respect cash-flow realities, allow predictable monthly budgeting, and remove pressure from large upfront costs. This approach allows businesses to join when they're ready and begin engaging immediately.

Question 13

Do I need an account to use the website?

Accepted Answer

Question 14
